Halloween sugar skull make-up

Hello!!

Something a little bit different today and to be honest, I'm a little bit nervous to post it, eek!! I decided to try my hand at doing sugar skull make up. I know it's become a big thing for Halloween and I think they're so beautiful that I really wanted to have a go myself. It's definitely not perfect but I was quite impressed for my first attempt and if any Halloween plans come my way I think I'll definitely be going with this idea.

If any of you fancy having a go yourself there are lots of amazing tutorials all over the Internet but I just played it by ear. I didn't have to buy much for it either. I purchased a white powder from Claire's accessories which I buffed into the skin for the base, my floral crown is from there too. Everything else were just eye shadows and liners I already had so you could certainly use different colours to vary it.

Hope you enjoyed today's post. It's definitely made me want to get a but more creative with my blog and try a few more things like this. Let me know what you think.

The best dry shampoo

Hello!!

I wanted to let you know about the best dry shampoo I have ever tried. Herbal Essences have recently launched the clearly naked line which are all paraben and colourant free. I haven't tried any other products from this range yet but my oh my, the dry shampoo is the stuff of lazy girl, haircare dreams. The smell is amazing. It's really minty and fresh, a bit like spraying a mohito in your hair! It's completely undetectable in the hair with no white patchiness at all, it does a really good job of getting rid of greasiness too. It's been on offer in most shops recently as it's still new so I'm planning on stocking up and would suggest you all do the same!

Hope you enjoyed today's post. I have a couple of slightly different things planned for the near future that I'm really excited for so keep a look out for those!

Lush does Christmas

Hello!!

I can go a whole year without stepping foot in Lush but as soon as the weather starts to turn colder I know it's only a matter of time before they bring out there Christmas range and I become the biggest Lush fan ever! This year is no exception and I thought I'd share with you what I've bought so far.

This first one is called Northern lights and is a bath bomb. I think this one is actually supposed to be a sparkler and made for bonfire night. This is a new one and I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I'm fully expecting  a colour explosion in the bath if it's supposed to be a fire work. To me it smells quite lavendery which isn't something that reminds me of bonfire night at all but it's pleasant enough any way.

This delicious looking thing is the Candy Mountain bubble bar. The thing I like most about the bubble bars is that, unlike the bath bombs, they last a few bath times. This one smells so gorgeous I could actually eat it. For any fans of Snow Fairy (Lush's famous Christmas shower gel), it smells exactly like that. Incredibly sweet and sugary and very christmasy!

Now how cute is this little guy! This is the Melted Snowman bath melt. Sadly mine lost his nose and if I'm honest I had to balance one of his eyes back on to take the picture but he's very sweet all the same. He smells quite spicy and christmasy without being too overpowering.

I've definitely saved my favourite to last here. Cinders is Christmas in a bath bomb. It smells so spicy and warming and has little pieces of popping candy in it that sounds like a crackling fire when your in the bath. I will definitely be stocking up on these while there still in stores and would definitely recommend everyone to do the same.

This is all I've got for now but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to get more. Autumn and winter is all about having lovely, warm baths for me and adding a festive lush treat makes it even better. I'll keep you posted with any of the others I try. Hope you enjoyed today's post.

Zoella Beauty

Hello!!

I realise it's been a while since I've posted, I lost my blogging mojo for a little bit but I can safely say that the Autumn weather has brought it back and I've got lots of new ideas and things I want to share with you.

The lovely Zoella has brought her own beauty range out and I couldn't have been more excited. I know this has been talked about all over the Internet now but I've watched Zoe and read her blog posts for years and wanted to share what I thought for the few of you left who still haven't heard about the blue eyed beauty (where have you been?) Have a little browse of her blog here.

I only purchased two items from the range, mostly because a lot of them were sold out, Zoe's a popular girl. From what I've seen, the whole range looks incredible and has captured Zoe's cute, quirky style perfectly. I'm in love with both items I purchased, I mean who doesn't want a Guinea pig on there makeup bag. The Blissfull Mistfull is gorgeous too, very sweet and fresh and perfect for just chucking in your bag.

You can get Zoe's products from Superdrug stores and feelunique.com and if you get the chance I would definitely have a look because I think they're lovely.

Hope you enjoyed today's post, expect more soon!
